Welcome to the world of SLOW DOWN, ENJOY…LIFE! My new lifestyle has taken me over 50 years to fully comprehend and live by. After 30 years in the rat race of the corporate retail marketplace, I have finally realized the true purpose of why we were put on this planet. With constant reminders from family, friends & loved ones to slow down, life is too short, stop & smell the roses, etc. over the years it took nearly hitting rock bottom to finally "get it".
The past few years I have read some of the greatest books ever written (in my opinion) that have led me to this new lifestyle. Both of Joel Osteen's writings, Your Best Life Now & Become a Better You, The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes, Keep it Simple by NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw, and also Rich Dad Poor Dad written by Robert Kiyosaki. These books in addition to catching Dr. Wayne Dyers program recently on PBS and following weekly television series with Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers, Suze Orman and Donny Deutsch have helped guide me to this new lifestyle. All of the books and messages finally hit home this past year listening to a message from our Pastor Gene Scott @ Celebration Community Beach Church in Naples, Florida - our physical life in this world is very short and we shouldn't waste 100% of our time and energy on materialism. The line that really got me, "you wouldn't go out and redecorate a motel room you were renting for a week!!!"
Many years ago we moved from Houston to the mountains of North Carolina (30 minutes from the closest town with a post office) truly believing that physically getting away from traffic, people, noise, etc. would help me slow down as everyone was encouraging me to do.
IT DIDN'T WORK!
To really slow down and enjoy you must make it a state of mind with constant reminders or trigger mechanisms to help guide you and keep you in that state. This is where the SLOW DOWN, ENJOY…LIFE t-shirt was born. I made a few up for myself, friends and family and the response was overwhelming. I started receiving comments, "wish that guy on the freeway that just cut me off, heard of this", "I need to get my boss one of these", the group on the golf course that kept hitting into us should have had one of these" and on & on.
We are currently offering t-shirts only with the following characters; Slow Down, Enjoy…LIFE, GOLF, SURFING & CHURCH. Please let us know what other characters and/or slogans you would like to see in the future. Also, please check back soon as we will begin to offer golf shirts, hats, visors as well as children's and ladies t's. We also hope to have the Slow Down, Enjoy...Life Guide to a better existence on Earth, published and available on our website in the near future.
We are currently working with a major national charity in which we will be supporting to be announced soon. Please contact us if you would like us to participate in your non-profit organization's fund raiser, fair or festival. Our turtle character will also be available for personal appearances in the summer of 2008. Also look for our "NAME OUR TURTLE CONTEST" in January.
